Whats up in room 17 ?

Room 17 have been working hard this year on inquiry, maths and writing.

Inquiry:
In inquiry we have been learning about colour in the living world and how humans use colour.

Maths:
In maths we are learning about fractions and basic facts. With fractions we are learning to cut shapes into fractions, add fractions, subtract fractions, multiply fractions and read fractions.  With basic facts we are learning our level of basic facts off by heart.

Writing:
In writing we are working on arguementitive writing.  So far we have argued on banning halloween, children should always agree with their teachers and children should go to school on Saturday.

So now you know whats up in Room 17!

Halloween

Trick-or-treat should stay!
Mrs French you are wrong, trick-or-treat should stay.
1.  Because we need candy or we will just fall asleep at school.  Do you really want that to happen?
2. You don't have to pay for the lollies, so why not.
3.I bet when you were little you liked trick-or-treating.
4.That means you don't like candy.
I think you're wrong and I'm right.
5.If you give us no candy we will die!  Die I tell you.
Thats why I think I'm right.

When the Irish Rugby Team Came

Last Friday, we had a school assembly and the Irish Rugby Team came.  We got to do the haka.  I felt scared.  They gave us a school rugby ball.  It was from the Irish Rugby Team.  After school, me and Matt and Alex went into Room 6 and we got some posters and a flag and some pens.  We got a photo with the rugby team and they signed my flag and they signed our posters.
